About Arrow Was Born from Hannah Montague’s Detachable Collar Invention!

Arrow is the clothing brand that is popular for the detachable shirt collar design. It was invented by her in the attempt of cleaning her husband’s shirt collars without having to launder the entire shirt!

It was back in 1820 when Hannah Montague created the first detachable shirt collar. It was in 1851 that Ebenezer Brown who recognized the possibilities in the detachable collar industry and began manufacturing collars. This modest beginning eventually led to the introduction of the ARROW brand in 1885.
